Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m Amanda, a nonprofit event planner by day with a special events planning business on the side. I also love to entertain.

If you’re like me, you love events. Maybe you love planning them, or maybe you love attending them. Perhaps you enjoy the behind-the-scenes nature of watching an event come together. Maybe you just love to entertain, whether it’s throwing lavish parties or intimate dinners. You love details, even the ones no one else notices.

Planning it All features ideas for entertaining, planning meetings and events, including, but not limited to, weddings. This is not just a wedding blog – there are already plenty of those – however many ideas from weddings can be implemented for special events and even meetings, and vice versa.

One of my favorite parts of event planning is finding the perfect venue. What other planners often find tedious, I find fascinating. Thus, I also feature site reports from venues that I visit (either for business or personal reasons). If you have a venue that you would love to see profiled, let me know! I’m happy to oblige. I am based out of the DC area but my travels take me around the US from time to time, so you will notice that the site reports can be all over the place.
