I am so excited to share this lovely Phantom of the Opera themed table design, which was the winning design at the 5th Annual Powerstories Gift of Story Gala in Tampa in March. Designed by Andrea Harrison of Tantalizing Tablescapes & Decor, the table brings the celebrated Broadway play to life. Enjoy!

The Gift of Story gala is a fundraiser for scholarships for middle school age girls to participate in the Powerstories Theatre’s Girlstories Leadership Program. The VIP tables were sponsored and designed by local event professionals, and Andrea’s table took first place. I asked Andrea to share her inspiration for this design:

“When my design didn’t come immediately to me, I actually started to pray and ask God to inspire me… I [eventually] decided on Phantom of the Opera!   Ideas started to just flood my head. I originally wanted a chandelier to put in the middle of the table, strewn with red roses & flowers. My husband pulled up a YouTube video of all of the Phantom of Opera chandelier drops since 1925 and I really wanted to portray the chandelier falling in the middle of my table but I couldn’t find one, so I decided to use a five foot candelabra.

I am always attracted to bling therefore it only made sense that I drape the table in a black sequin table cover, crystals, glass and more bling. I pulled out my special Waterford wine glasses, glass reef silver chargers and China dinner plates for this special design. I created my own version of the Playbill, framed it and put it on the table as well.  I handcrafted place cards with each guests name. Just like in the movie, I left a long stemmed red rose on each seat along with a metal blinged out mask at each place setting for each guest.

Danielle Vona of the Marketing Posse, was the table sponsor and made this design possible.  Tantalizing Tablescapes & Décor (my company) created the table design.  Heather Rowland, Owner/Operator of Beautiful Floral Designs, took what I had in my head and created it.  The candelabra was on loan from Elegant Events.  Brandi Morris of Brandi Image Photography took the photos.”
Thank you for sharing, Andrea!
