Vintage Industrial Wedding Rain Indoors

While Alanis Morissette said that rain on your wedding day is ironic (it’s not) – it can make for stunning photos! You’ll find the proof in today’s real wedding feature by Andie Freeman Photography. This wedding has a stunning venue that lends an industrial vibe (The Engine Room used to be an industrial cotton mill dating back to the late 19th century) and it’s full of poignant personal details. The bride’s favorite detail was the buttons she had on her bouquet – her late grandfather’s Navy lapel pins. I love this idea, as I “carried” my late grandmother down the aisle with me as a brooch she had given to me before she passed, pinned onto my bouquet. The event planner and designer, Jessie Patton with Southern Sophistication Designs, is a designer after my own heart: I LOVE all the uses of vintage sheet music! Enjoy!

I just love when brides and grooms carry a piece of jewelry or a memento from a loved one who has passed. Such a touching detail. The industrial look of the building contrasting with the soft details of the reception decor makes for a beautiful scene.
