fourth of july party ideas

This week has been a little crazy and I wasn’t able to scout out fabulous event and entertaining ideas to share with you, so I thought I’d collect some ideas for the Fourth of July. Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays – mostly because I love fireworks – and I love all the red, white and blue details. Here are some of my favorite ideas:

4th of July Ideas

Clockwise from top left:

I love this patriotic banner, and the best part is it’s a free printable! This would be great on a mantle or hanging off a deck or porch railing. { Three Little Monkeys Studio }

These red, white and blue mason jar candles look like an easy DIY. It’s made from food coloring dyed rice! { Artzy Creations }

I must be really into printables judging by how many great examples I’ve found for the 4th! These circles are so cute and are clearly very versatile! And these are free as well! { I Heart Nap Time }

There are so many great red, white and blue desserts to make. I like this cranberry custard trifle which is patriotic without being over the top. It’s also party-friendly because you can mostly make them ahead in single serve mason jars – I love the red and blue ribbon tying the spoon to the jar, lovely touch! { Party Bluprints }

I’ve also been on a s’mores kick lately – why not add s’mores to your 4th of July party! These individual s’mores packets are a great way to dole out supplies or could be a party favor if you aren’t able to make s’mores right at your party. The printable is a great touch! { Anders Ruff }

Of course Martha Stewart has a red, white and blue dessert recommendation. This berry trifle is definitely centerpiece worthy – just don’t light sparklers on any cake indoors! { Martha Stewart }
